The UNSW Taekwondo Beginners Course is designed for students with little to no prior experience who want to learn Taekwondo in a supportive and structured environment. The course introduces the fundamentals of World Taekwondo–style martial arts, focusing on basic kicks, strikes, stances, movement, and self-defence techniques.
Participants will develop core skills such as balance, coordination, flexibility, and fitness while building confidence and discipline. Training is conducted by qualified instructors and progresses at a beginner-friendly pace, with an emphasis on correct technique, safety, and enjoyment.
This course is ideal for students looking to try a new sport, improve physical fitness, or work toward future grading and competitive pathways within the UNSW Taekwondo Club. No previous martial arts experience or special equipment is required. It will take place between weeks 2-6 of Term 1 on Thursday and Friday afternoons from 5-6pm, upstairs in the UNSW Fitness and Aquatic Centre.
